IMPACT JUSTICE CO-SPONSORS THE 15TH ANNUAL CARIBBEAN COMMERCIAL LAW WORKSHOP OF THE FACULTY OF LAW, UWI CAVE HILL CAMPUS

The Faculty of Law of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus received sponsorship from the Canadian-funded IMPACT Justice Project to host its 15th Annual Commercial Law Workshop at the Hilton Barbados Resort from July 24-26, 2016.

The workshop focused on several areas of innovation in commercial law pioneered by Barbados, as well as by the wider region. There were presentations and panel discussions on a wide range of topics, including those in the areas of: offshore law, data privacy, eCommerce, financial regulation, employment law, CSME law, and mergers and acquisitions.

IMPACT Justice was on-site to display some of its public legal education flyers on various aspects of the law, along with a sample of some of its reports on various legal issues such as sexual harassment, legal education, legislative drafting and accreditation in the OECS.
