The Faculty of Law of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus received sponsorship from the Canadian-funded IMPACT Justice Project to host its 15th Annual Commercial Law Workshop at the Hilton Barbados Resort from July 24-26, 2016.
The workshop focused on several areas of innovation in commercial law pioneered by Barbados, as well as by the wider region. There were presentations and panel discussions on a wide range of topics, including those in the areas of: offshore law, data privacy, eCommerce, financial regulation, employment law, CSME law, and mergers and acquisitions.
IMPACT Justice was on-site to display some of its public legal education flyers on various aspects of the law, along with a sample of some of its reports on various legal issues such as sexual harassment, legal education, legislative drafting and accreditation in the OECS.
