The fourth meeting of the IMPACT Justice Model Legal Profession Legislation Committee was held in Trinidad from September 6th – 8th, 2017 at the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre. This meeting was called to complete the review of the IMPACT Justice Model Legal Profession Bill and Regulations.

The committee first met in Trinidad in March 2016 to develop the drafting instructions which were sent to a drafter who prepared the first draft of the Model Bill. Since then,  the committee held meetings in Barbados and Guyana to review the draft Bill and its accompanying Regulations. The meeting in Trinidad was held to complete the review of the draft regulations.

Once the review and revisions are completed, IMPACT Justice will present the draft to the CARICOM Legal Affairs Committee for adoption as a CARICOM Model Bill.
